The Build-It Cape Gate under 13 soccer and netball festival has been postponed until next week.
A collective decision was taken on Thursday to delay the festival for another week due to the ongoing taxi strike in the Mother City.
The festival was initially supposed to take place at the Aristea Primary School in Kuilsriver on Saturday, however, protocol dictates that the safety of the school children is of paramount importance.
“Therefore, we have decided to postpone the event until next Saturday,” said Safa Cape Town’s Technical Director, Boebie Solomons.
“Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do as it is out of our hands,” Solomons concluded.
