The highly anticipated Regional Executive Committee (REC) meeting of Safa Cape Town regarding the ‘Goalgate’ scandal resulted in absolutely nothing.
No Bones with Jones can confirm that the matter has now been referred to the Disciplinary Committee to decide the outcome with a date and time yet to be confirmed.
This decision comes after the REC’s engagement with the lead investigator and deputy president of Safa CT, Andrew Bothman at the Rygersdal Football Club in Rondebosch on Wednesday evening.
The expectation was that a decision would be reached by the investigation team after it was scrutinised by the members – instead cold feet kicked in and the head of the investigation decided to pass the buck.
