Safa Western Cape deputy chairman Chris Tyhawana has confirmed that the William Herbert Sports Complex in Wynberg will again play host to this season’s ABC Motsepe League Final.
This WC provincial showpiece between FN Rangers (winner Stream A) and the winner of stream B, Antalyaspor Cape Town, will be decided in a one-off tie on Saturday at 15:00 – as was the case in 2022 when Rangers lost 3-4 on penalties against Zizwe United who had then won the provincial title for a third year.
“We wish both teams good luck in their journey of becoming SAFA Western Cape ABC Mostepe champions for the 2023-24 season,” Tyhawana said to No Bones with Jones.
“May the best team win and go represent the province in style at the National Play-offs that will be hosted by SAFA Northern Cape.”
Rangers’ coach Arreshaat Daniels will be more than keen to set the record straight by winning the final this time round and becoming the WC’s representative at the First Division playoffs in the Northern Cape province in early July.
That said, his counterpart Dylan Deane and his troops harbour thoughts of derailing Rangers’ much anticipated expectations.
