Roger hopes for better fortune… Sangoma must stay away for KO Final vs Everton

Young Pirates might have missed out on a possible treble after being humbled by FC Tafelzucht in the Coke Cup recently, but their coach Roger Fortune says there is still a lot to play for.

Fortune has jokingly stated that he is on the lookout for the individual who sent the sangoma to his camp to disrupt and cause mayhem.

Fortune explained to  No Bones with Jones: “I’ve been hit really hard by injuries. I mean I didn’t just have one or two players injured, but seven players and right before our Coke quarterfinal clash last week. Is that normal? Feels like someone sent a sangoma to us. I must find that person,” Fortune chuckled.

Pirates, who’ve already been crowned league champions at the Heideveld LFA for the umpteenth time, are chasing yet another double when they face rivals Everton in the knockout final on Saturday in Heideveld.

Fortune, who has also been linked with a move to Hanover Park FC’s Motsepe League side, has confirmed that no deal has been concluded yet.

This, despite the fact that the majority of the football public has already identified Fortune as the new coach for the Brasse Vannie Park as Hanover Park is called, except Fortune himself.

Besides, several of his ‘players’ have moved from Santos to train with Hanover Park FC.

“Honestly speaking, there is still nothing on the table as I’m also still busy with Pirates,” Fortune added.
“Remember we also have the playoffs for the third division that’s coming up as well.”
