Sea Point Swifts have shown their intent for their new venture in the ABC Motsepe League with the possible capture of former Cape Town City, Orlando Pirates and Chippa United attacker Craig Martin.
This comes after the 31-year-old Martin – whose contract with his previous club Chippa United in the PSL had expired – was spotted at Swifts’ training at the Italian Club Sportsfield in Milnerton on Tuesday.
Although Martin’s move to Swifts is not a done deal, No Bones with Jones believes it is a formality that would definitely be a major coup for the Second Division newbies.
The live-wire right winger should have no worries slotting in with players like Damian Basadien and Jayden Fransch, who are also training with the team under the watchful eye of Dylan Deane and Clayton Daniels.
Martin, who played amateur football for Hellenic, rose to prominence when he signed for City in 2017 before making the move to the Soweto giants Pirates.
