Koopstadt officially Hope FC property after weeks of tug-of-war with Inter City

Inter City FC manager Ashlam Petersen has confirmed they have finally “cleared the air” regarding the clearance issue with Riyaaz Koopstad.

“All sorted,” Petersen confirmed to No Bones with Jones. “He was there on Monday. We cleared the air and I issued his clearance on Tuesday,” Petersen added.

This development makes Koospstadt, who has been training with Hope FC for a couple of weeks already, officially the property of Hope FC.

This follows after a ‘tug-of-war’ ensued between Inter City FC and Hope FC over the services of the experienced 24-year-old midfielder.

Koopstadt joined up with Inter City – who acquired the status of City Kings – who also ‘inherited a large crop of Montague Spurs’ players with Koopstadt being one of them.

Expectations were that the former product of the now defunct Ajax Cape Town, would automatically commit to Inter City as he was training with them. after finishing off the season with Spurs.

However, one thing led to another and Koopstadt ended up at Hope FC where he reunited with former Antalyaspor JPM Cape Town coach Dylan Deane – and the rest is history!

Koopstadt’s addition will surely add more experience and value to Hope FC as it strengthens the spine of Deane’s squad without a doubt.
