Fixture debacle shows Safa WC ready to pitch the circus tent once again

Safa Western Cape’s hypocritical nature has again been exposed.

This follows the province’s secretary, Nadia Konstabel, who released the ABC Motsepe League’s draft fixtures, which is the correct protocol as the season is set to commence this coming weekend.

What raised eyebrows is the fact that the fixtures released by the province feature all the clubs – except Santos. The immediate impression the province creates is that Santos is then officially expelled.

But how can this be if the court case is still pending and the matter will be heard on Thursday? How is it possible for the province to jump the gun? Do they perhaps know something that the rest of the league does not?

Santos’ omission from the fixtures clearly indicates that they are no longer part of the league, but that is not for the province to decide, but rather the judiciary system and this will only be known on Thursday.

So, it begs the question, what if the court rules in favour of Santos, and then it automatically nullifies the recent fixtures sent, which could further prolong matters for the Second Division.

This is another indication of the blatant disregard from the province to its own constitution, yet the province is very quick to throw the rule book at clubs when it suits them.

Needless to say, this circus-like behaviour and governance from Tankiso Modipa (pictured) and his administration just know no boundaries. What next?
