WSJ’s Heiny “in the market” after resignation from 1st Team

Heinrich Gradwell is in the market – any takers?

“Look, if I can be honest, I would still want to do nothing else besides coaching but let’s see what options are available, so yeah, I’m available ” Gradwell stated to No Bones with Jones.

This former coach of Wynberg St. Johns’ first team has shocked friend and foe when he penned his resignation to the club which reads…

It is with mixed emotions and immense pride that I submit my resignation as 1st team coach
From 2019 to 2025, it has truly been an unforgettable journey – filled with incredible memories and a fairytale story that will stay with us forever.

We took on the daunting task of leading a team struggling in the relegation zone. Through hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of our players and technical team, we achieved the unthinkable.
Fast forward past the COVID years, and by 2022 we had built a healthy, talented squad, backed by the unwavering support of our loyal 12th Man – our members, friends, and family.

Every game, home and away, was packed. No opposition could handle the energy they brought. Their support carried us as we achieved the double – League and Knockout Champions in 2022 – losing just one game all season. A perfect gift to celebrate WSJ’s 30-year anniversary.

There’s so much more I could say, but above all, I will always cherish the memories, the lessons learned, and the friendships made along the way.

I leave confident that the team will continue to grow, thrive, and make all our members proud.

I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity and will continue to serve the club in any way I can.

All the best, Wynberg St Johns.

Warm regards
Heinrich Gradwell
