“I don’t serve family and friends” … Safa CT Head of Referees lays down the gauntlet for match officials

Safa Cape Town’s Head of Referees, Zama Yokwana, (pictured) has laid down the gauntlet when announcing the guidelines for match officials for the upcoming season.

To participate in the regional panels, whether you are an MO or MA, you must follow this process.

1) Your LFA must be recommended to the regional Refs com.

2) Regional Refs com will assess your LFA recommendations and thereafter, your LFA will be notified about the outcome.

3) The regional head of Referees cannot do it without your LFA recommendations either request. Unless it is a specific or special project.

4) If your LFA assessment is approved by regional Refs com, then regional processes will take their course. Whoever is in a regional panel goes through those processes and procedures via those channels as I don’t serve family, friends, and those who claim to have officiated with me.

Maybe that it’s happening in order platforms but not in SAFA Cape Town. I thank you and I hope everyone is clear and knows where to press the button. Coming to me you press the wrong button you won’t be assisted unless otherwise. See you next time
