Stellenbosch CEO Rob Benadie has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs are on the verge of securing SA U21 international Faiz Abrahams on loan.
“We are finalising this with club and player but not confirmed as yet,” Benadie told No Bones with Jones.
Abrahams has endured a frustrating spell at Stellies, struggling to cement his place in Gavin Hunt’s side after returning from a difficult loan stint with Hapoel Kfar Saba in Israel’s Second Division.
The midfielder was initially linked with a move to Orlando Pirates in a proposed swap deal involving Kabelo Dlamini, but that agreement collapsed. Chiefs then stepped in to secure his services, with the deal now close to completion.
No Bones with Jones understands that Abrahams travelled to Johannesburg on Thursday morning to finalise his move to Naturena.
