The popularity and growth of this tournament was evident when a milestone was reached on the opening day of the youth spectacle which coincides with the September school holidays.
“The biggest crowd ever on Day 1 was recorded, a total of 9600 feet entered through the gates and there was a total of 276 games played last night,” the Tournament Director Abdul Tajoodien told No Bones with Jones. “So, we’re expecting another exciting day ahead,” Tajoodien added.
The weather conditions and temperature on Day two might have dropped considerably, but rest assured that the action on the field is set to heat things up as the young cubbies set to prepare for another day of fun and laughter. This is indeed an emotional roller coaster for bother parents and players as some take their football extremely serious.
The big question is… will the fans be able to set a new record and surpass the 9600 total?
