Saatjie Keeps Rangers Grounded Despite Perfect Start

FN Rangers appear to have rediscovered their mojo, remaining unbeaten and sitting comfortably at the top of the table with a two-point cushion over rivals Hanover Park FC in stream A.

However, head coach Arreshaat “Saatjie” Daniels is refusing to get carried away by his side’s impressive start to the season.

“It’s early days, my brother,” Daniels told No Bones with Jones. “The best thing we could’ve done was balance the squad with experienced players. Over the past few seasons, we literally depended on our youngsters to either win games or manage games for us.”

The experienced tactician also highlighted one of Rangers’ biggest shortcomings in previous campaigns, dropping valuable points through avoidable mistakes.

“It was frustrating because we played well but weren’t able to see out games,” Daniels explained. “We made a lot of errors and were rightly punished. The fewer mistakes you make, the better your chances of winning matches. But these boys are slowly getting there.”

Despite Rangers’ position at the summit, Daniels believes maintaining consistency will ultimately determine whether his side can sustain a title challenge.

“Consistency is the key to success in this league,“ he concluded.
