The timing for Edgemead FC and Zane Ryklief (pictured) just did not align…it’s as simple as that.
No Bones with Jones can confirm that this was probably the catalyst for their decision to part ways – in hindsight it could still pan out as the best decision for both parties, who knows?
It must be noted that Ryklief, who was appointed in January this year to take charge of Edgemead’s senior league champs, currently has a lot on his plate.
Not only is Zizou as Ryklief is known, busy with his Caf A-licence in Joburg, but also calls the shots as the head coach at the ABC Motsepe League outfit Ikapa United – and in there lies the challenges.
No Bones with Jones was reliably informed that the separation was amicable and that there are no hard feelings, apparently.
A source close to the club said: “Look, we wish him well with his future endeavours and who knows our paths might cross again in the future, but now is not that time,” the source added.
