No Bones with Jones notes the response of the Rygate LFA to its recent article about its 2025 financial report.
For starters, let’s acknowledge that Rygate is a public body and one that prides itself as “The Only Choice” and “We lead others follow.” That said, surely one would expect them to conduct themselves with pride and ensure that they set an example for others to follow.
With respect to the Cubs tournament, No Bones with Jones noted that despite the losses they suffered, our website acknowledges the role the tournament plays during the September holidays in keeping the kids safe and occupied despite the financial burden.
At no stage did our website refer to it being a fundraiser, acknowledging the amount of money spent despite its costs and also noting the input from the Spar Mookrey Group.
With regards to the National Lotteries Commission, No Bones with Jones, only reported what was published in the 2025 financial report. Also, our website has no idea of what has happened since the report was published.
Our website merely reflected what was in the financial report, clearly acknowledging the unspent amount. The LFA also did not have the total funds to complete the project, which indicates they had used the Lotto funds for operational expenses. (Sounds familiar?) One would expect the LFA to invest those funds separately.
You say we have unfortunately proven ourselves to be nothing more than a gossip page that creates a false narrative about the financial governance of Rygate LFA, yet our website is merely reporting on your published facts… So, I challenge you to debunk any statements.
You have never once debunked anything except complain, moan and groan about No Bones with Jones’ reporting. What our website reports on is factual issues reported by yourselves. You portray the narrative that your organisation is “The Only Choice” and “We lead others to follow.” I highly doubt that others are so blind to follow your example.
Our website unfortunately cannot report on matters that have happened subsequent to the 2025 financials, like the Lotto Commission allocation, as we have not had sight of those reports – but don’t worry, in due time.
As pointed out prior, the Rygate LFA being a public entity draws attention to itself by the way it conducts business.
