Safa Cape Town mum on withdrawal of Electoral Committee member due to “personal reasons”

When was Safa Cape Town going to issue a press release to confirm that one of the Electoral Committee members Mluleki Daniso (pictured) withdrew from his position?

Now, bear in mind that the region has on numerous occasions in their various press releases attempted to convince themselves and to persuade the public that they are transparent and accountable in their dealings.

On one particular occasion, they issued two statements in the same day which goes to show that there is a willingness and capacity, but only when it suits them.

Which is also probably why the Cape’s football Mother body has not divulged this information about a pertinent matter as they were informed last week already on such an important issue? It’s probably one of those occasions where it doesn’t.

These developments come after Daniso confirmed to No Bones with Jones that he has stepped down due “personal reasons.”

“I was very explicit to the SG (Secretary General) of Safa Cape Town when I informed him and he knows exactly what I am facing,” Daniso told No Bones with Jones. “That is why I have to disconnect as I feel that my personal challenges need my full attention,” he concluded.

Daniso, along with Stevie Williams, Caroline Peters, Xolani Diniso and Hassan Sobekwa were ‘democratically’ elected a couple of weeks ago to serve on the panel that will facilitate and ensure the region’s upcoming elections will be just and fair.

But judging by the region’s silence on such a pertinent development, it is clear that despite the ‘independent’ members chosen, the modus operandi remains the same.
