Safa CT Electoral Committee AWOL at appeal hearing which raises suspicion

Actions speaks louder than words…

And judging by the no show of Safa Cape Town’s Electoral members for the Langa-Ndabeni LFA’s appeal hearing which took place at the Rygate LFA headquarters in Johnston Road on Wednesday, it definitely raises suspicion.

Therefore, it would be interesting to see if democracy will be upheld and whether justice will reign supreme.

Word emerging from the hearing is that it was a “good engagement despite the fact that some of the Electoral Committee members failed to attend the hearing as they did not have the courage to go and defend their deeply flawed decisions.

It’s further communicated that Langa’s legal representative “showed his masterclass” with his legal mind while further poking holes in the region’s case.

It’s believed that the LFA’s representatives, President, Zolisa Tungwana and Wanderers FC chairman Eric Gum, were faced with an appeal team which were allegedly very much programmed from the onset.

However, their committee’s alleged flaws were quickly highlighted during the sitting. Needless to say, it was also the first time apparently that an opportunity arose to argue this issue of signatures and constitutionality of the decisions and they apparently couldn’t deny.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan LFA also presented their appeal against disqualification of Gum’s nomination with its President, Wayne Weitz, and Secretary Latasha Fredericks in attendance.
