Safa’s Bailey wants to show that 3 into 1 can’t go in Mitchells Plain

The ongoing shenanigans in Mitchells Plain – where a breakaway group of clubs are threatening to form a third Local Football Association (LFA) in the area – has prompted the regional body, Safa Cape Town, to intervene. 

The governing body’s president Bennett Bailey has voiced his concern on the matter adding that he will definitely attend the meeting scheduled by the LFA Mitchells Plain’s president, Gilbert Kruger, for Monday (11 September 2023) at the Westridge Sports Complex. 

Mitchells Plain already has the MPLFA, as well as The Mitchells Plain Football Board operating in the area.

A group of clubs at the MPLFA are apparently not happy with the way things are being run and are contemplating forming their own union.

Ironically Bailey is an Accountant, and he will probably try to convince the Mitchells Plain soccer fratenity that 3 into 1 can’t go in the area.

Bailey empahized that there are “processes to follow when one is unhappy or aggrieved” with certain issues…Full interview below.
