Is ‘Double D’ ready to join ‘Brasse vannie Park’ at Downberg Road?

There is one certainty at Hanover Park FC – they will have a new coach after it was confirmed that Anwar Galant will not be back for the 2026/’27 season.

Subsequently, it’s been widely rumored that former head coach at Hope FC, Dylan “Double D” Deane, could be heading to Downberg Road Sports Complex to take up the vacant position.

Now, despite not having a permanent head coach yet, the Brasse Vannie Park, as Hanover Park, is called, has been relatively active with recruitments for the new season.

No Bones with Jones understands that Hanover Park has already roped in a few former players from Vasco da Gama, like Tauriq Dien, after the RKDG Development sold its ABC Motsepe League status to Saxon Rovers a couple of weeks ago.

However, Hanover Park FC owner Rieduwaan Anthony, is tight-lipped and keeps his cards close to his chest when probed on his new coach.

“Not yet, I will update you, but nothing yet in that space,” was Anthony’s reaction to No Bones with Jones.
“I’ll keep you posted,” Anthony added.

It will really be interesting to see if Deane avails himself to lead Anthony’s side to the promotion – just as he did with the Immortals last season.
