The Hollywoodbets Third Division debutants Seaside Spurs have emerged as the favourites to capture the services of the experienced midfielder Damian Basadien.
No Bones with Jones has established that coach Gerald Stober’s Seaside are the only club thus far who has tabled an offer for the 28-year-old experienced midfielder.
According to Stober the decision “lies with Basadien” – that is of course if he is willing to make the step down to the Third Division.
“He will definitely add value and give me more selection headaches,” Stober told No Bones with Jones.
Meanwhile our website also understands that ABC Motsepe clubs like Maties FC, Antalyaspor JPM Cape Town and Inter Africa (Batalions FC) have also shown interest but nothing concrete as such.
Basadien is back in Cape Town following a stint with Remax Friends FC in Durban which was mutually terminated due to contractual issues.
Basadien is one of the most successful players in Second Division after he won three league titles with Steenberg United, two with Glendene United and his recent success was with the defending Motsepe champion Young Bafana last season.
