Come hell or high water, Silver Spurs will retain its status, says Victor the “Drifter” – Kevin and Mario has work to do!

Victor Tajoodien (pictured) aka “The Drifter” at Silver Spurs FC for his ability to double up in any role where needed, has dispelled any rumours and uncertainty regarding their coaching set-up for the remainder of the season.

Tajoodien is of the opinion that it will be a case of all hands on deck which is why they have now opted to go with a co-coach approach to save their Third Division status as the league heads to the business end of the season.

Tajoodien, a wily old fox himself is well aware there is a lot at stake as Spurs is one of the longest serving teams in the so-called ‘Graveyard’ league.

“That’s why Kevin (Lewis) and Mario (Tito) are running with the team now,” Tajoodien confirmed to No Bones with Jones. “Obviously I’ll be working closely with them as agreed by the members of Silver Spurs,” he added.

Tajoodien has vehemently stated come hell or high water, Spurs will retain its Third Division for next season despite white and red outfit languishing at the bottom end of the table in the 16th position – one place away from the drop zone which is currently occupied by Goal50 United while the wooden spooners, Good Hope FC is already unofficially relegated.

This followed a hard fought 1-1 draw against Wanderers FC on Tuesday evening where they had to dig deep to secure a point. Spurs have the thanks Dylan Zeeman for his goal scoring prowess who equalized with a header for the visitors from Silvertown before half time.

That said, a point away from home is not the end of the world and it must be said that since their crushing 1-5 defeat against the log leaders Saxon Rovers Spurs last month, Spurs have found some stability subsequently with two wins, three draws and one defeat – and this is what has increased the confidence levels to a degree.

“Tajoodien explained: “Look, I can confidently say that we will not be relegated at the end of the season,” Tajoodien further explained. “And it’s because there are guys who have Silver Spurs running through their blood and they are doing everything in their power to ensure the clubs stay up.”

Spurs welcome Antalyaspor next up to their home ground but this fixture will only be played after this coming weekend as the league is in recess due to the holy day of Eidul-Fitr which give Lewis and Tito addition time to work together and ensure they get the best out of their players in the back end of the season.
