Six newbies to grace Trinitarians FC u14 Easter Spectacle at Symphony Park, sponsors welcome to help grow event

Six new clubs will be making their debut at the 17th edition of Trinitarians FC’s annual u14 Easter Tournament which will take place at the Symphony Park Sport Complex in Belhar over the Easter weekend.

This was confirmed at the launch and draw of the youth spectacle held at the Cravenby Civic Centre on Sunday.

The newbies, who will be looking to dethrone the multiple champion and favourites, Cape Town Spurs, are Kinders van die Kaap FC, Ruyterwacht FC, Barcelona FC, Ubuntu FAC, Holy Cross FC and Sporting FC.

It’s no secret that Spurs has made this tournament their own as they have won it for four consecutive years now with former player, Luke Baartman, being one of the success products to emerge from this event.

According to Tournament Director, Ernest Jacobs, the growth and popularity has increased despite their financial challenges they are faced with.

“Look., we have running the tournament out of our own pockets so to say as we do not have any sponsors,” Jacobs highlighted to No Bones with Jones. “Imagine we get some sponsors on board who know what we can achieve. So, if there is anyone willing to assist, please contact me on 0834072395 as it will be highly appreciated. Judging by the new clubs competition will be stiffer,” Jacobs concluded.
