There is an old adage that “no player is bigger than the team” but Safa Cape Town’s leading marksman, Rushan Abrahams, is proving the contrary and showing that he is YMO FC and all that!
Just imagine what YMO would have been like if they did not have a striker with the goal scoring prowess of Abrahams’ calibre? YM-0!
YMO would have taken up the mantle of the current wooden spooners Good Hope FC and made the latter to not look like the only punching bag in the Graveyard league, that’s for sure.
This follows after Roo, as Abrahams is affectionately known, singlehandedly rescued his side from defeat against the very same Good Hope during a 4-2 win at the Rooikrans Sport Complex on Friday evening.
The visitors were trailing 0-2 when Abrahams started his one man show and banged in all four of their goals to hand his side a much-needed win and extended his goal tally at the top of the charts to 23 goals in 23 games.
YMO also followed up this result with an impressive 1-1 draw against Rygersdal FC to give them some hope in their battle against relegation.
