Football stars and legends of the beautiful game have once again responded to a call for support from legendary goalkeeper Farouk Abrahams.
Abrahams is battling stage four cancer and the prescribed treatment protocol is financially challenging. Abrahams has partnered with Walking football Cape Town and Surve Philanthropies to host a family fun day at the Football Kings Fives court in Hadjie Ebrahim Crescent, Belgravia on Sunday 13th September from 10am till 3pm.
Local legend Duncan Crowie heads a strong line up of stars eager to show that they can adapt to the Walking football format – which is easier said than done
Abrahams expressed his gratitude to the 16 teams confirmed for the event as well as the 4 family fun teams.
Entry is free for spectators but a small fee is payable to take part in any of the family fun activities.
Everything points to a whole lot of fun to be had amongst the many football greats coupled with tasty eats on sale and grand spot prizes to be won.
Come and join the excitement as we introduce Walking football to a new audience and who knows you may just be the winner of a spot prize.
