The latest news regarding the controversial striker Ameen Awaldien is as follows…
No Bones with Jones can confirm that Awaldien’s fine of R500 has been settled – a month after he was issued with a penalty due to his comments made on social media which was in breach of the Rygate LFA’s policy.
Furthermore, the Rygate LFA facilitated the process and played their role to ensure that the former Hazendal United and Silver Spurs striker is now a free agent and can further his football career
No Bones with Jones recently reported that the 30-year-old goal poacher was linked to Roger Fortune’s Young Pirates who now play in the Third Division after they won promotion a season ago.
And that move from Hazendal to Pirates is now signed, sealed and delivered which means that Awaldien will feature for Pirates against Greenwood Athletic (19:30) away at Solo Street on Friday evening(5 December).
One can only hope that Awaldien has learnt his lesson and now focuses on what he does best – terrorizing the opposition defenders and goalkeepers and scoring goals – he has some catching up to do though if he has any intention of competing for the top goalscorer which is currently lead by YMO FC’s Rushan Abrahams with 11 goals after five games.
