CORRECTION: It was Mia, not Samaai, that felt the wrath of “The Buffalo”

After some additional corroboration between No Bones with Jones and its source, it came to light that it was not Faizel Samaai who was suspended by Safa Cape Town’s president, Bennett Bailey, as reported last week by our website, but rather his predecessor, Shaukit Mia.

It also emerged that, apart from Mia, other administrators, such as Ashraf Parker and Graham Dirks, also felt the brunt of Bailey’s leadership during their time at the Rygate LFA.

These administrators were all serving on the Rygate Exco with Samaai at the time, and that’s where the confusion stems from.

Meanwhile, the duty of this publication is to keep the public informed of what is happening in local football.

Often, people, especially those involved, are not prepared to divulge information – yet they are among the first to complain when information is obtained by other means.

The football public has the right to know what is happening in the game – not only on the playing field, but also in the boardroom, especially behind closed doors where many important decisions are made.

These are the decisions that affect everyday people – the players that run on the pitch week in and week out, delivering their best – and expecting the best from officials as well.

No Bones with Jones will at times tread on toes but will under no circumstances apologise for that. What is important is that we keep our soccer administrators wary that they are being watched – and if they dare to step out of line, a football writer such as No Bones with Jones will have the backbone to show them up.

Others will turn a blind eye – but not No Bones with Jones. And yes, we do accept that sometimes mistakes will be made – but the message is out there: No Bones with Jones is watching!
