It’s official… Erica Park will host Engen KO Finals!

After much deliberation, consideration and contemplation No Bones with Jones can confirm that Belhar’s Erica Park will play host to the finals of the Engen KO Challenge.

It goes without saying that other venues such as the Rooikrans Sports Field (Grassy Park), William Herbert Sports Complex (Wynberg) and the Johnson Road Sports Field (Rylands) were all mentioned at one stage but our website has established that it is indeed the Erica Park Sport Complex.

Safa Cape Town sent out the list of criteria to host the prestigious under-18 for boys and ladies last week, and judging by the stringent criteria, the Erica Park Sports Complex seemed to be the most fitting venue that meets that ticks all the boxes.

Besides, Erica Park has played host to a bigger showpiece, the Bayhill Premier Cup, for decades now and this is also what probably swayed the sponsor to opt for this venue with its perfect infrastructure.

The venue has fields that are in tip-top condition, ample parking space as well as facilities to accommodate the administration side of the tournament.

The venue is safe, intimate and spacious, it also at the same time and allows spectators to watch all four games simultaneously when they position themselves on the embankment which splits the four fields.

Not to mention the grandstand which is ideal for the VIP’s as well as general spectators to ensure a bird’s eye view coupled with a community who is passionate about the beautiful game and supports the development of the game.

It was communicated that the announcement will be made public on Friday (26 April 2024) while the tournament will be held from 8 to 9 June. With this bombshell No Bones with Jones has again lived up to its reputation by delivering fresh and exclusive content – holy moly!
