Charlie Jaftha (pictured) has been identified as the candidate to fill the vacant head coach position at the Hollywoodbets Third Division outfit Trinitarians.
The Northerns LFA side has been without a head coach since Zaheer Simons left the club for Newmans FC a couple of months ago.
Jaftha, along with his assistant George Ruiters, was seen barking out orders on the touchline during a friendly against rivals Matroosfontein over the weekend.
This is also probably an indication that Jaftha is poised to take over proceedings at the Uitsig-based outfit.
Coupled with the fact that No Bones with Jones has also reliably been informed that Jaftha will in all likelihood move into the hot seat despite this decision not yet being confirmed.
Trinnies were a shadow of themselves since winning the Nedbank Cup Regional title under Simons in 2022, and one would like to believe that Jaftha is well aware of this. Furthermore, Safa Cape Town’s Third Division is not dubbed the Graveyard league for nothing.
Now is the time for Jaftha to show he ain’t no “big time Charlie” but rather one that delivers as the club needs some magic and inspiration to bring the belief and hope back to their passionate fans as they deserve it.
