Former Diadora and Silver Spurs attacking midfielder Marc Jonas’ first pro contract with Hope FC can be put down to his patience and bravery!
The 21-year-year-old exciting and versatile midfielder has battled the odds and adversity to finally get his break with the newly promoted First Division outfit, Hope FC, also known as the “Immortals”.
This move was also confirmed by Diadora, who also parted ways with six other players including the likes of the striker Emeraan Rayners who will be moving to greener pastures with Inter City.
Jonas, who won the Third Division promotion title with Diadora two seasons ago, started his career with Spurs as a youngster and remained loyal to them for many years until Diadora came knocking. This move also came at the right time as Jonas’ football was stagnating a bit at a club like Spurs, and he needed a new challenge.
Following an impressive debut season with Diadora in the Second Division, it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened for Jonas as he is that good of an attacking midfielder. Those who are familiar with Jonas can vouch that things weren’t always rosy which makes this achievement much sweeter one can imagine.
