Ncaca “happier” chap now with Saal’s addition as it will benefit Antalyaspor’s young guns

Antalyaspor JPM Cape Town head coach Gareth Ncaca admitted that he is a “happier” chap with the addition of the ex-pro player Devon Saal.

No Bones with Jones has established that the 33-year-old former Maritzburg United and Santos winger has resurfaced at Antalyaspor JPM CT, who’s third division status was acquired by Wynberg St. John’s

Ncaca expressed his delight on Saal’s addition to his squad: “I would be happier because it will benefit our young players and team,” Ncaca told No Bones with Jones.

The well-travelled Saal, older brother of Lionel who plays for Hanover Park FC in the ABC Motsepe League, is highly experienced and should add value to Ngaca’s youngish looking squad.

Saal has an educated left foot and is also a free-kick specialist, and despite the diminutive figure not being a 90 min player, he can definitely make an impact when introduced – whether from the bench or in the starting X1…. A good acquisition indeed!

Besides, Saal is also no stranger to the Wynberg St. John’s set-up as he featured for them during the LFA season.

Antalyaspor JPM CT had a satisfactory start to the season with a 1-0 victory over Young Pirates in their opening fixture, followed by a 2-3 loss to YMO FC.

Saal will be available for selection when Antalyaspor hosts Wanderers (15:00) at Youngsfield Military base on Saturday.
