Former Bafana Bafana winger Ayanda Patsoi (pictured) has finally broken his silence following his move to the ABC Motsepe League newbie Hope FC.
The 32-year-old Khayelitsha-born attacker says he is “very happy” to back in Cape Town following stints abroad with Foolad FC who plays in the Persian Gulf Pro League in Iran.
“This is a great opportunity and therefore I am very happy to be back in Cape Town,” Patosi said to No Bones with Jones. “The project that they are busy with was what impressed me to join the club and to be part of this is fantastic,” he added.
Patosi, known for pace and dazzling runs, will know all too well that he has some added responsibility as the club’s marquee signing and will have some huge weight on his shoulders
“Look, I’m here to do my best and help the team as much as I can,” Patosi elaborated.
“Fans can expect a hardworking Ayanda on the field that brings a lot of experience. We have some very good youngsters, and my role will be to guide and advise the younger players with the experience I have acquired overseas
When probed on how many goals he has set for himself this season, Patosi replied; “You’ll have to wait and see.”
