Metropolitan LFA has released an official statement after its president Wayne Weitz (pictured) was cleared of all financial mismanagement charges following a legal battle with Safa Cape Town for more than a year.
The statement read: “We received the DC outcome but at this stage we will not elaborate on the outcome further. SAFA CT must release the outcome to its members then it will be shared with our members and our actual statement from the LFA will then follow,” the statement ended.
No Bones with Jones has reached out to the region’s General Secretary Reyaad Joseph but his response was not forthcoming. It’s believed that Safa CT’s president Bennett Bailey must still okay the decision by the DC with an expected apology to follow.
The DC decided that Weitz, who has always maintained his innocence, must be reinstated with immediate effect.
Our website contacted Weitz but without any luck.
