Parker Ahmed’s (pictured left) UCT Ladies has shown that you can buy a lot of things 0 but not experience!
This comes after Parker’s troops made light work against coach George Dearnaley’s (pictured right) Magic Ladies beating them 3-0 in the Western Cape playoff-final held at the University of the Western Cape on Saturday.
Two goals in the first half via Michaela Liebenerg and Earon Isaacs ensured that they went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Katlego Mazibuka added a third with her head halfway through the second half to put the game beyond The Magic.
Truth be told one expected a little bit more of Magic especially in the second half especially with the wind behind them but it wasn’t to be.
The fact that its first-choice goalkeeper was unavailable did them little favours. In the end there was just no stopping the defending champion as UCT as they just had too much in their tank – despite losing four players during the season.
Fingers crossed for the national playoffs that will be hosted in Cape Town in the coming weeks.
