No Bones with Jones received this video post after FC Tafelzucht’s 3-2 victory over Saxons Rovers in the semifinal of the Coke Cup at the Stephen Reagan Sportsfield in Westridge Mitchells Plain on Sunday.
Saxons was the first to kick and hit the crossbar and was adjudged as a miss opportunity. Judging from the video footage it does however seem as though the ball DID cross the line and a goal should have been awarded. Without pointing fingers, the video footage indicates that the ball has definitely crossed the line.
Furthermore, the poles are not completely 90-degree square and it’s leaning slightly to the back. Should the poles have been in its proper position the ball was in all likelihood to travel under the bar as the height of the poles would have slightly adjusted making it higher.
What is also baffling is that the assistant referee is right on the spot and has the perfect view….
All I’m saying is that we all have eyes and what is it telling you?
