Junction Rovers barking in unison despite rumours and fake news

Contrary to the “fake news and rumours” on social media platforms, the newly promoted ABC Motsepe-outfit Junction Rovers are singing from the same hymn sheet and there’s nothing but peace and harmony.

It is no secret that Junction’s new partnership with Nova Nacional has caused quite a stir in Heideveld as well as the local football public at large over concerns about what the future holds for the debutants with this unexpected partnership.

No Bones with Jones is informed that the recent “gossip” spread by the naysayers has nothing to do with the club itself but the fact that they are “jealous” and “threatened” about the prospects of Second Division newbies.

According to a source close to the club the partnership with Ana Barrote-Rightford’s Nova definitely received the blessing and stamp of approval of their hierarchy.

“We are not bothered about what gets said on social media as our members are informed and we know where we stand. According to my knowledge the club will also be named as Junction Rovers only,” said the source.

No Bones with Jones can also confirm that Junction’s secretary, Joe Booysen, will on Saturday (23 September) meet up with the club’s stalwarts and life-long members to bring them up to speed and to strategize on how to take the club to the next level.

Barrote-Rightford, Nova’s chairlady recently officially confirmed their new venture with Junction in a statement that read: “The demands associated with a higher level has brought about this opportunity, to become more sustainable and to create a favourable pathway for the talented youngsters associated with both clubs.”

Junction’s promotion winning coach, Chrissando de Weber, can breathe a sigh of relief as there will be a solid cash flow to attract one or two experienced players needed to ensure that the club at least retains its status after the first season.

Prior to the partnership Junction has lost a few senior players like its talisman-captain Adeeb “Pro” Triegaardt and others to their Motsepe rivals Ikapa United who has thus far shown that money talks!
