Former Cape District Football Association president Nathan Less has been suspended for 10 years for bringing the game into disrepute.
No Bones with Jones is in possession of a copy of the outcome of the Disciplinary hearing which took place without Less’ presence at the Rygersdal Football Club headquarters in Rondebosch.
The matter, chaired by Zolani Malibeni and assisted by Mr Koketso Sekokotla and Shafiek Davids, found that the deliberate resignation – so as to not appear before the committee – is unacceptable. They lambasted Less’ disregard for this committee as “out of place”.
The documents revealed that Less, who resigned from all football activities recently, has no intentions of being involved in football anymore.
But this did very little in his defence after the DC found Less guilty of a number of transgressions while his president Wayne Jones was still under suspension.
Less, who also served as a secretary at CDFA was found guilty of convening unlawful executive meetings in contravention with the directive; for convening unlawful meetings with suspended individuals; and 6.1.4 for contravening the SAFA Statutes, in particular articles 2.2; 2.17.17; 4.2; 7.1; and 13.1.1 of the SAFA Statutes.
Furthermore, Less is fully liable for the costs of the disciplinary committee for this hearing.
