‘Poephol’ Leon not blowing any more hot air about Cape of Storms – issues apology

In the interest of peace and harmony in the Two Oceans LFA football circles, former Ocean View FC manager Leon O’ Malley has decided to be the “poephol.”

O’Malley received some backlash over his recent revelation to No Bones with Jones about the new club, Cape of Storms FC, which he started along with his brother Marco and others in the Ocean View area.

O’ Malley confirmed then that the club has been registered with the Two Oceans LFA and it was brought about to offer more opportunities to players in the area.

Well, this did not go down well with members from both rivals Ocean View FC and Cape of Storms and Leon opted rather to apologize for sake of peace.

Needless to say, the new kid on the block in the Two Oceans LFA has not even officially started, and yet it is already making its presence felt.

Leon said: “To both parties I just want peace and that’s all that’s why I’m doing the apology letter,” Leon wrote to our website. “I know I now sound like a poephol but anyway, I would rather be the one to put my pride in my pocket with this apology…

Leon’s letter reads:

Dear Ocean View FC

I, Leon O’ Malley, would like to apologize for the article published by No Bones with Jones

My intention was not to mention any names in my interview. Many actions were inexcusable and I understand if I caused any inconvenience or disappointment.

Mr Clifford Carelse was not the reason that I left the club so I apologize if his name was mentioned. My brother (Marco) and I never started the new club alone. It was a few goodhearted people and parents that helped start the club.

So, I hope all parties will accept my apology.

Thank you.

Leon O’ Malley
