Confirmation regarding the departure of Gerald Stober (pictured) as head coach from Seaside Spurs has been far and few between, but No Bones with Jones has it with good authority that the two parties have indeed parted ways.
No Bones with Jones also understands that the assistant coach, Shane Petersen, will step up to fill the vacant position left by 56-year-old Stober until the end of the season.
Spurs are currently languishing in the 10th position – three points off the relegation zone with eight games left and have some work to be done in order to ensure the Second Division status for next season.
Needless to say, there are some big strategic changes made behind the scenes which will probably be announced in the near future but as things stand, the former Bafana Bafana striker in Stober, will no longer be part of Spurs’ set-up after two seasons on their books.
Our website reached out to Spurs’ executive member, Earl Cloete, who could not be reached for comment by the time of posting of the story.
Similarly, Stober was also unavailable for comment.
