These two “composed” and “shrewd” coaches deserve all the praise and credit for ensuring that Rock-A-Fellas make a welcome return to the annual under-19 Easter tournament the Bayhill Premier Cup in Belhar.
Fellas, the under 18 Champions League winner in the Mitchell’s Plain LFA, got the better of the under 18 Super League winners Ikapa Sporting by 3-0 thanks to a brace by Brennen Theunissen and Thabiso Mzalisi played at the Stephen Reagan Sportsfield on Sunday.
Their reward is a spot in the prestigious Easter tournament played at the Erica Park Sportsfield in Belhar.
It also means that the Mitchells LFA representative skipped eight rounds of the gruelling qualification process to make a welcome return to the prestigious event.
The club’s chairman Nino Solomoms says they are thrilled to be back and will work even harder to compete with the best youth teams at the tournament in 2025.
“The determination, dedication, hard work and unwavering passion of both the coaches and players alike made it possible for us to achieve this feat,” says Solomons to No Bones with Jones. “We are really looking forward to representing our LFA with the utmost pride,” he added.
