It is such a pity that the relationship between Ikapa Sporting FC and one of its coaches Graham Purdy did not have the necessary time to flourish.
This comes after Purdy, who was appointed part of coach Zane Ryklief’s technical team a couple of weeks ago, indicated to our website that he has parted ways with the ABC Motsepe League club.
“I will not be staying at IKapa,” Purdi confirmed to No Bones with Jones.”This is due to personal reasons. I was very happy in the short time that I was there but can’t continue at this stage.
Purdy has been explicit in his reasoning for his departure to avoid unnecessary speculation. “Everything is fine, it’s just personal things on my side,” Purdy concluded.
Meanwhile, Ikapa’s owner Shaun Pietersen also verified the news.
“Graham is no longer with us,” Pietersen stated to No Bones with Jones
Purdy is undoubtedly a serial winner of a coach who enjoyed huge success in the past with clubs like Hellenic, Edgemead and of course Durbanville FC
Along with Durbanville’s coach Divian Adams, who has done an amazing job thus far and deserves all the credit, they are preparing for the Safa CT’s Third Division playoffs which is scheduled for the end of October after being crowned champions.
Ikapa unfortunately kicked off their campaign at their new Ikamva venue in the worst possible manner when they succumbed to a 1-4 defeat to Bradley Barnes’ new-look Hanover Park FC on Friday.
