SAFA axe Bennett from SASCOC’s legal committee, replaced with Natasha Tshiclas

Within a space of 24 hours after SAFA vice-president Bennett Bailey (pictured) has been re-elected for an unprecedented third term as president of Safa Cape Town, and where he also announced that he will be running against Danny Jordaan for president of the SAFA, it alleged that Bailey was subsequently axed by SAFA from the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) where he served as a member on the legal committee.

No Bones with Jones has been informed that Bailey’s position will be filled by the former chairlady of Mamelodi Sundowns and current vice-president of the SAFA, Natasha Tshiclas.

This was confirmed by a reliable source who added: “I guess that is what you get when you want to double cross the big boss,” the source revealed to No Bones with Jones. “I also believe they are in the process of replacing him at CAF and Fifa as well which could be catastrophic to say the least,” the source added.

Our website reached out to Bailey who appeared to be in the dark about the latest developments. “Yesterday I spoke to the president and vice-president of SASCOC. And I also spoke with Ilhaam at length… And one of them would have told me,” Bailey explained to No Bones with Jones. “But there’s a second part to it and the most important part. All the committees are confirmed at the general council.

“So, you can only be appointed by the general council or removed by the general council and this is not even on the agenda, okay… So, when guys come to you with this, they are malicious,” Bailey concluded.

Our website also reached out to SASCOC’s president, Barry Hendricks, without any luck.

This is a developing story!
