With Junction Rovers’ demise to Safa Cape Town’s Third Division last season, it’s understandable that their rivals would be on the prowl to raid the club for their A-listers!
One such player in particular that is already in high demand is their “Captain Fantastic” Adeeb Triegaardt (pictured right), who has already been approached following their relegation from the ABC Motsepe League to the unforgiving Third Division, dubbed ‘The Graveyard League.’
Triegaardt, son of former Sea Point Swifts maestro, Ibrahim Triegaardt, is a no-nonsense defender that’s hard as nails. He reads the game well. He is versatile, coupled with his aerial prowess and eye for goals, definitely makes him an asset for any side.
So, it’s no surprise that clubs like Ikapa Sporting in the Second Division including down in the Third Division like Rygersdal FC, have shown a keen interest in him.
Adeeb definitely sits with a a bit of a dillemma, but a good one though – and his decision will probably be based on what will be in the best of his family as well. That said, it will be interesting to see where his heart lies…
