It was business as usual for the defending champion Hanover Park FC who comfortably dispatched you and I FC by 3-0 to advance to the semifinals of the prestigious Coke Cup in Du Noon on Sunday.
So, too, did Hanover Park’s Cape Town Tygerberg rival Saxon Rovers, who walloped Two for Joy by 4-1 in their quarter final tie played at the Khayelitsha Stadium on the same day.
Meanwhile, the fairytale continues for FC Table View and Island Rovers. Both qualified for the last four for the first time by beating FC Dynamos (2-1) and Vasco da Gama (on penalties (5-4) respectively.
The match between Island Rovers and Vasco ended 2-2 before penalty kicks determined the winner.
Champions Hanover Park will now play Island Rovers in Mitchells Plain on Sunday, while Table View will challenge Saxon Rovers.
