It looks like Hazendal United has been left with no alternative but to go the legal route against its Mother Body, Rygate LFA to try and lift the suspension of its goal poacher Ameen Awaldien (pictured) last week.
No Bones with Jones is in possession of a copy of a letter from Hazendal’s attorneys DDMB Legal Consulting which requests for Awaldien’s suspension to be lifted by Saturday (21 June) 10:00 for the latest.
The letter further alleges that Rygate’s president Abdul Tajoodien is in “violation of Section 37.9 of the Safa Rygate Statute Uniform Rules” which deals with the executive powers and which states that the president shall not be an owner (or chairman) or have any interest financial or otherwise in any football club under the jurisdictions of Safa Rygate FA.
Awaldien, who is set to appear before a Rygate LFA disciplinary on Monday (23 June) was suspended by the Rygate LFA last week after allegedly bringing the LFA into disrepute following comments he made on social media – much to the dismay of Hazendal who is now desperate for intervention in order for Awaldien to be eligible for their Coke Cup tie against Silver Spurs on Sunday.
According to a high ranking figure within Hazendal they have exhausted all the measures to try and resolve the matter with Rygate in a “football manner” but to no avail.
“Thrice we’ve sent them (Rygate) correspondence to request to engage with them but we had no luck,” said the source to No Bones with Jones. “They were sent a final letter this morning asking them to consider their decision as we highlighted the fact that it was done in an unprocedural manner and the protocols violated were highlighted,” the source concluded.
Meanwhile Tajoodien responded pertaining to the receipt of the attorney’s letter.
“I have no idea as Rygate office hours are from 8am till 4pm Monday to Friday,” Tajoodien reacted.
