It’s official! Swifts’ chairman Weitz confirms ‘matrimony’ with Hope FC

Sea Point Swifts chairman Wayne Weitz has ended weeks of speculation when he confirmed that Hope FC is well and truly affiliated to their club.

According to Weitz, who is also the chairman of Metropolitan LFA, he expects this ‘matrimony’ to spread far and wide and finally put to bed the murmurs surrounding their relationship as well as Hope FC’s compliance in the ABC Motsepe League – once and for all.

“Yes, we have an agreement in place and Hope FC belongs to Swifts and that is that,” Weitz stated to No Bones with Jones

Meanwhile Hope FC’s owner Marlon Parker, also weighed in on his optimism and excitement on this venture.

“We have aligned ourselves with Sea Point Swifts and there definitely is a mutual partnership in place,” Parker told No Bones with Jones. “We expect this to be a long-term project that should be beneficial for both parties,” Parker added.

Needless to say, Hope FC has made an immediate impact on the field under the leadership of their coaching staff of head coach Dylan Deane, his assistant, Clayton Daniels and the goalkeeper coach, Mark Kapman, who also happens to be a Swifts legend and former goalie.

Hope FC unfortunately have to take their home game against Ubuntu FC to Gugulethu this weekend due to their unavailability of the usual Erica Park base in Belhar.
