Silver Spurs FC’s messiah Victor Tajoodien has returned to the coaching hotseat position for yet another spell.
This comes after the club’s manager and brother Abdul Tajoodien confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Keith America by “mutual consent”.
This decision was taken on Tuesday after more dropped points against Camps Bay FC – leaving them in a very precarious position early in the season.
Abdul, better known as Doeltjies explained to No Bones with Jones: “Keita is not completely lost to us as he will be used in another capacity within our youth structure. So, the new technical team will consist of Victor, myself and Abduragmaan Abrahams, ” Abdul concluded.
It is fair to say that America, a football legend in Cape Town, somewhat underestimated the demands of the league and found the going tough collecting only four points from five matches. As much as youth is the way forward in any club, the role of experienced campaigners is of paramount importance in the success of any squad.
Defeats against Diadora FC, Cape Town City and Wanderers FC early on in the season forced the club’s hierarchy to cut ties and to act before it is too late.
