The former Bafana Bafana defender Nasief Morris (pictured) has shared his excitement with No Bones with Jones about his lifelong dream and ambition which is now coming to fruition.
The 42-year-old former assistant coach of Cape Town Spurs is set to unveil his new coaching project called N5 in the coming days – a project that intends to give back to a community that has helped shape him into the individual that he is today.
Morris, who has close to 40 caps for Bafana Bafana is to reveal all when a media briefing will be held on the 12 December (10:30) at the Westridge Sports Complex in Mitchells Plain.
The former Panathanaikos and Racing Santandar player opened up to our website about his soccer school which aims to not only unearth young talent but to impact their lives positively.
“We are putting up Astro courts for Phase 1,” Morris explained. “Then we are building a clubhouse with changing rooms as well as two to three 11-a-side grass fields.
“We intend to have our coaching clinics with kids for development and to try and get the school’s league up and running where scouting can be done.
“There is also a vision in the pipeline to possibly do tours abroad to the clubs I played for to give the kids an opportunity to see what football is like on that side.
The most important aspect is to make a meaningful contribution on and off the field and to impact their lives positively, ” Morris concluded.
