The truth hurts!
And the ‘Buffalo’, as Safa Cape Town president, Bennet Bailey, refers to himself, has once again shown his bullying tactics as president of the organisation when he had No Bones with Jones removed from the Safa Cape Town media WhatsApp group.
Ironically, this group, was an idea initiated by No Bones with Jones and Natheer Marshall a couple of years back to streamline the media communication for the journo’s.
This also just goes to show how immature certain individuals are. It’s crystal clear they will go to extraordinary lengths to censor and gag anyone who does not hold their views and ‘values’ and speak the uncomfortable truth .
Now, bear in mind, it’s not the first cowardly act done unto No Bones with Jones. A couple of weeks ago, Bailey’s organisation posted on social media that they have made a case against No Bones with Jones at a police station as they could not handle the level of “Third Degree” they were confronted with – even though there was no criminal offence! How clever!
So, Bailey, as he usually does, instructed one of his subordinates in Ian Pakoe, who is an admin on Safa CT the WhatsApp group, to remove No Bones with Jones after the latter mistakenly posted a link to a story relating to Bailey being served with a letter of demand from the Sport Stepping Stones Foundation’s legal team to seek answers on what happened to the process of the Football for Humanity initiative.
It was never No Bones with Jones’ intention to post it on Safa CT’s media group – it was a genuine mistake as it was meant for another platform. Never before has No Bones with Jones posted any link or article on Bailey, whether complimentary or controversial, let alone a football-related one.
Oh! And for the record, the region continuously proclaims and try to convince itself and persuade the public via it’s lame press releases that they are transparent and responsible in their governance and dealings. Well, if that is truly the case, then why haven’t we seen a public apology directed to the Metropolitan LFA president, Wayne Weitz as instructed by their own Arbitrator – as it has been months now.
And bear in mind, it was because of Safa CT’s fabrication and lies, and in particular Bailey, who orchestrated a case against his own treasurer in Weitz, that the latter lost his job in the process. Who does that to a friend? And to think they were comrades in the struggle who shared a deeper bond and connection for obvious reasons, fighting the good fight for justice and equality against the apartheid government – So, I challenge Safa CT to show how transparent they are and do the right thing which is… LIFT THE WEITZ OF YOUR SHOULDERS AND APOLOGIZE TO WAYNE!
