Pay back the ‘money’ before we issue clearance, barks Santos’ Allie to club legend

Santos boss Goolam Allie revealed that the club’s legend Keith America should do his due diligence and give what belongs to the People’s Team.

Allie’s response comes after No Bones with Jones was informed that America cannot be officially unveiled as Silver Spurs new coach for their Holllywoodbets Third Division outfit due to the fact that Allie expects Keita, as America is known, to settle his score.

But bear in mind, Spurs have been asking for the previous four months for the matter to be resolved.

According to Allie the matter is very simple: “Give back what is due to the club and we shall issue his clearance.

Let’s face it, America is one of Cape Town’s beloved and Western Cape Federation Legends that was never given the respect that he really deserves – especially in a coaching capacity.

America has dedicated his life to youth coaching and has been running a coaching clinic with no real financial support for some time now to impart his knowledge and skills to the younger generation.

But now he has finally been given the perfect opportunity to use his years of experience and mix it with the hardcore and cutthroat nature of the Hollywoodbets Third Division.

This comes after the management of Silver Spurs confirmed to our website that America a, will be the man in charge of the senior outfit for the new season, replacing the co-coaches of Mario Tito and Franklyn Davies.

“The work that he’s done thus far speaks for itself,” Spurs’ manager Abdul Tajoodien told No Bones with Jones after America led Spurs LFA’s side to a first title in quite a while.
“And they are also in the running for the Knockout which will be played on the first weekend in September.”

With America at the helm the dreaded ‘Under-rule’ will not have any impact on Spurs’ challenge for that elusive Third Division title as America’s experience with the youth should make the transition for these players much easier.

This is also largely due to the fact that one of his successors, Tito, has blooded some of the youngsters already and has given the senior side a solid base to work from.

The former striker (Keita) who bedazzled crowds when he was at teams like Santos, Maritzburg United and Cape Town Spurs explained: “It was challenging because I didn’t really want to get back into senior coaching because development is my main focus. But they approached me and also made their facilities available for my America’s Dream clinics,” America told No Bones with Jones.

“However, I enjoyed every moment because it was a test for me, especially being out of Coaching teams for a couple of years now. The quality is here at the club but they were yearning for guidance in the right direction and my philosophy worked instantly because I finished my stint thus far still unbeaten after taking over the reins. It’s a work in progress,” America concluded.
