Rangers’ focus is only on Home Defenders, says Saatjie

As advantageous as it might come across, it’s merely a case of six of the one and half a dozen of the other.

These are the views of FN Rangers’ coach Arreshaat Daniels (pictured) ahead of the opening match in their group between Njampela FC from KZN and Mpheni Home Defenders.

Daniels will have a first-hand idea of what they will be up against as they cross swords with Defenders in their first game on Wednesday at 12:00 followed by their last fixture against Njampela on Thursday.

Daniels suggested that he’s not too fazed about these matters as they too will be scrutinised thoroughly by Njampela who has a rest day on Wednesday.

“You know the draw is out of our hands and we have to play the hand that we are dealt,” Daniels explained to No Bones with Jones.

“But for now we are only focussed on the game which is tomorrow and deal with what comes thereafter.

“So, the information we share with our players will only be based on our first game against Mpheni Homes Defenders,” Daniels concluded.

Meanwhile Kruger United has laid the foundation for their promotion prospects with a 1-0 win over the hosts from Northern Cape, NC Professionals, in the opening game of the playoffs on Tuesday morning.
