The Rygate LFA held its conference at its Johnston Road base on Wednesday, where some key vacant positions on the executive were filled.
This was confirmed by the LFA president, Abdul Tajoodien.
“Naeema (Holland) was elected as vice-president, which was a vacant position. and Mvusi Tshingilane was elected the new treasurer,” Tajoodien told No Bones with Jones.
Tajoodien was, however, cagey when he was probed about the suspended member, Kader de Goede (pictured) from DLPE De Goods.
The LFA boss replied: “I cannot give you any news about that and let’s wait for Rygate’s official statement,” Tajoodien added.
No Bones with Jones has gathered that De Goede’s membership has now been terminated following a landslide decision by the member clubs – 19 were in support of De Goede’s termination and with only two abstentions.
This also raises the question of why De Goede still has to appear at a DC hearing of Rygate on Thursday – if it was already decided that he was a goner?
It should then also be De Goede’s prerogative to provide the necessary proof to support his claims and state what seems to be irregular.
